3. Go to Trezor.io/start
Open your preferred web browser and go to Trezor.io/start. Here, you’ll find the Trezor Bridge installation link, which is necessary for your device to communicate with your computer.
4. Install Trezor Bridge
Click on the link to download and install Trezor Bridge. This software facilitates the connection between your Trezor device and the Trezor web interface.
5. Initialize Your Trezor
Once Trezor Bridge is installed, refresh the Trezor.io/start page. The website will detect your connected device. Click on “Initialize device” to begin the setup process.
6. Choose a PIN
Set a strong PIN for your Trezor device. This PIN is crucial for protecting your device from unauthorized access. Confirm your PIN by entering it twice.
7. Write Down Your Recovery Seed
Your Trezor will display a 24-word recovery seed. Write these words down on the provided recovery seed card in the correct order. This seed is your backup to recover your funds if your Trezor is lost or damaged. Store it securely and never share it with anyone.
8. Confirm Your Recovery Seed
To ensure you’ve written down the recovery seed correctly, your Trezor will ask you to confirm several words from the sequence. This step is essential for verifying the accuracy of your backup.
